PRP - Platelet Rich Plasma Concentrate Kit

The PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Concentrate Kit is specifically designed to facilitate the safe and rapid preparation of autologous platelet-rich plasma using a small sample of the patient’s own blood.

The PRP kit combines convenience, safety, and potential therapeutic benefits, offering clinicians a valuable tool in optimizing patient outcomes.

PRP Tube is the close system device made with medical grade Polycarbonate material and easy to use.

Features:

  • One step process – just 6 minutes
  • 4-5 times more yield of PRP than any conventional method
  • Close system device to minimise risk of contamination
  • It Can be use with any conventional centrifuge, special centrifuge is not the requirement

FAQs

A PRP Concentrate Kit is a sterile, single-use medical device designed to separate the concentrated platelets from autologous whole blood.

The kit typically uses a controlled centrifugation process to separate blood components based on density:

  • Red blood cells (bottom layer)
  • Buffy coat (platelets + leukocytes)
  • Platelet-poor plasma (top layer)

PRP is widely used in:

  • Orthopaedics and sports medicine
  • Dermatology and aesthetic procedures
  • Wound healing
  • Hair restoration
  • Dentistry
  • Regenerative medicine
  • Infertility

Yes. The PRP Concentrate Kit is supplied sterile and is intended for single use only.

Since PRP is derived from the patient’s own blood, the risk of immunological reaction is minimal. However, the procedure must be performed by trained healthcare professionals following standard clinical protocols.

The concentration factor varies depending on:

  • Baseline platelet count
  • The kits achieve a 3–4× increase over baseline platelet concentration.

The device separate blood components based on density, Red blood cells (bottom layer), Buffy coat (platelets + leukocytes) at centre and Platelet-poor plasma (top layer).

To get leukocyte-rich PRP- collect the centre part from the device after adjusting the buffy coat to the neck region of the device, collect platelets with buffy coat.

To get leukocyte- poor PRP- collect the centre part from the device after adjusting the buffy coat to the neck region of the device, collect platelets without buffy coat.

The required volume of blood is 10ml per device.

For separation of PRP from male patient the time required is 4 minutes and for female patient it is 6 minutes.

No. The PRP device is designed such that it is compatible with normal centrifuge having the rotor holder of 14 ml conical bottom tube.

Store in a cool, dry place as indicated on the product label. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.

No. The PRP Concentrate Kit is single-use only and must be disposed of according to biomedical waste regulations after use.

The kit is intended for use by qualified healthcare professionals trained in blood handling and PRP preparation procedures.
